Special Delivery is a year-round opportunity for church groups and individuals to prepare and deliver beautiful packages containing spiritually uplifting materials provided by Joni and Friends Charlotte to children and adults with disabilities living in long-term care, rehabilitation facilities or at home. Each year, lives are touched with hope and encouragement because of local believers who extend their hearts and hands through the ministry of Special Delivery. There's nothing like volunteering at the
Bonclarken Family Retreat! It's a fun-filled week designed to give
families with disabilities a lift! Short-term Missionaries (STMs) are a
key part of making it all happen. They share meals and evening
events with one family, serve in the kid's or youth program and provide
fun activities that contribute to making this a "once-in-a lifetime"
vacation for these special families.

Wheels for the World is an international outreach of
Joni and Friends.
Wheelchairs, walkers, and crutches are
collected locally and then sent to one of ten prisons
where they are upgraded and restored. The equipment is then sent to developing countries throughout the world,
such as China, Romania, Peru, Poland, and Ghana. Teams of short-term missionaries travel to
each country to fit individuals affected by disability with their
own personal wheelchair. Therapists, mechanics, and people with a
heart to serve get involved to make a difference. Bibles and evangelistic literature are also
given to encourage the faith of each person with a disability.
 You can get involved! Join an outreach team! Collect wheelchairs locally.
Transport chairs to prisons. Make cushion covers. Make gospel bracelets. Send Bibles
