Blessed to Be a Blessing

by Pastor Ron Wiese

“I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always offering prayer with joy in my every prayer for you all, in view of your partnership in the Gospel from the first day until now. For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.”     (Philippians 1:3-4)

Dear Members of Messiah:

On behalf of the Board of Stewardship, we wish to thank you for your continued support and cooperation in fulfilling our ministry at Messiah. In order to achieve our objectives, we will be taking the following steps on the first two Sundays in November.

Our stewardship theme this year is “Blessed to be a Blessing!” On Sunday, November 6th, a “Serving the Living Lord” questionnaire and a financial commitment card will be distributed in all three worship services.

Consecration Sunday is November 13th. We request that you return your questionnaire and commitment card on that Sunday. We are doing this to encourage you in your management of God’s gifts.

“Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I directed the churches in Galatia, so do you also. On the first day of every week each one of you is to put aside and save, as he may prosper, so that no collections be made when I come.

(I Corinthians 16:1-2)

In 2003, he took a huge leap of faith, selling his business and two homes to drive to Saint Louis for the first time and begin Seminary training.
