Promise is composed of a small group of singers and instrumentalists who lead the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sunday's Contemporary Services with predominantly contemporary Christian pieces and several original songs by leader, Bryan VanderHill. Promise also leads seasonal worship services and can be heard throughout the summer in various church music festivals. Coffeehouses at Messiah are a great opportunity to hear their music and other local Christian bands.

Promise has been leading contemporary worship service since the summer of 1998. The group has released three CD's of all original music. The first, This Is Heaven, came out in November of 2001. The second CD, Truth Has a Name, was released in December of 2003 and their third CD became available in November of 2007. The members of Promise would like to express their appreciation for the ongoing love, encouragement, and support of families, friends, and fellow Messiah members. Their prayer is that through music they would glorify God and touch the hearts of listeners, and draw all into a closer walk with Jesus.
