Sunday School Classes PDF Print E-mail

Sunday School meets regularly for all ages from September through May.

Messiah's Sunday School classes are designed with everyone in mind and all begin at 9:45am.

A cheerful nursery staff keeps your babies and toddlers happy and loved. Two year olds attend a class with a parent in which a special lesson, music, snack and craft are offered.

Check out classes for Kindergartners through 6th grade.

Youth classes are Christ-centered and led by lay teachers. Our youth develop a positive bond with each other even though they attend different public and private schools.

Adults are offered Bible classes on varying topics led by Pastor Tim and lay teachers. Coffee is plentiful and discussion lively.

Adult Education/Sundays

We have been blessed with many gifted adult Sunday school teachers and are thrilled to offer so many interesting choices. We have listed the course offerings below and have provided a synopsis for each.

Victoriously Frazzled – 8 weeks - More about dealing with the stressors of life as we explore what the Bible teaches about sacred balance; control (self, circumstances, others); responding vs. reacting; God’s practical power; age and attitude; and a time for reflection. The first Frazzled study was right on target for today’s woman. Come join us as we gain more insight into God’s design and plans for us.

OUTLIVE YOUR LIFE - Disease, poverty, warfare, and hunger claim thousands of lives each day, but God's people have been given the opportunity to make a BIG difference in the world. God invites us to outlive our lives – not just in heaven but also here on Earth. So, how do we live in such a way that the world will be glad we did? Intrigued? Join us in the Fellowship Hall at 9:45 on January 29 and February 5 & 12 as Pastor Max Lucado inspires us (via DVD) to live so intentionally that everything in our lives adds up to something bigger than ourselves. Discover how to Outlive your Life!

Staying in Love - We all know what’s required to fall in love...a pulse. Falling in love is easy, but staying there, that’s something else entirely. With more than a thousand match-making services available today and new ones springing up all the time, finding a romantic match can be easier than ever. But staying together with the one you’ve found seems to be the real challenge. So, is it possible for two people to fall in love and actually stay there? Absolutely! Learn how in this four-session group study by pastor and author Andy Stanley. Begin-ning February 12th and led by Paula Weiss.

Discovery...Let the Journey Begin - THINKING ABOUT BECOMING A MEMBER OF MESSIAH? - Pastor is teaching a new “inquirers” class during the Sunday School hour. It will cover the topics of what it means to be a member of Messiah (2 weeks), what it means to be a Christian (4 weeks), what it means to be a Lutheran (4 weeks).

Equipped for the Journey This class, taught by Pastor Wiese, is for all new members of Messiah received during the last half of 2011. It is #301 in the “Life Design” series established by Messiah’s Discipleship Ministry a few years ago. This eight-week class explores the Spiritual gifts and abilities which every Christian has. It is meant to assist Messiah’s newest members in discovering their personal gifts and abilities, and where they can serve as important members of Christ’s Body at Messiah. For more information, phone the church office or Pastor Wiese at 803-547-1160.
